PalmaVela 2017 Race Update – Thursday, May 4th, 2017

PalmaVela 2017 Race Update: Classic Palma conditions 13-19knts, great racing on a left hand dominant track. Bella Mente fought hard all way around the track, but Momo showed good upwind speed to win both races. Plenty of areas for Bella to improve upon over next few days to hit our daily points target and get into the last day with a chance to win the regatta.

2017 PalmaVela Practice Update from Palma

The crew of Bella Mente with owner/driver, Hap Fauth, at the helm completed 3 practice days this week in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, just two weeks after leaving the Caribbean. We had one successful day of preparations in the shipyard and two rigorous practice days.

After leaving Saint Barths just two weeks ago, Bella Mente is back in action Thursday (tomorrow) for the first day of racing in PalmaVela 2017 in Palma De Mallorca, Spain! About Bella Mente

The original Bella Mente Racing campaign kicked off in 2006 with Key West Race Week, and since then owner and skipper Hap Fauth has had three additional racing yachts in the program.

Launched in September of 2018, the current Bella Mente is a Maxi 72 designed by Botin Partners in Spain and built by New England Boatworks in Rhode Island.
